MY Hot Radar is a concept for a Malaysia-focused trending topic radar — a place to surface the stories that are heating up across the country, instead of just the headlines everyone has already seen.

Current stage
The site you are looking at is an MVP (Minimum Viable Product). It exists primarily to demonstrate the visual design, layout, and information architecture of the eventual radar concept. Every story card, headline, and category feed shown on this site is currently sample / placeholder content created for demonstration and layout testing.
MY Hot Radar does not currently run a live news radar, does not perform real-time monitoring, and does not claim to have a newsroom, an editorial team, or verified reporting workflows.
What this MVP is for
- Website demonstration and product-design review
- Layout and information-architecture testing
- Validating how a future trending radar might be presented to Malaysian readers
- Iterating on visual identity and mobile-first reading experience
What we plan to explore (future direction)
In future iterations, MY Hot Radar may explore capabilities such as:
- Detecting topics that are gaining momentum across Malaysian online conversations
- Comparing how a story is being talked about across multiple platforms
- Cross-checking information before surfacing it as a "Hot" signal
- Organising stories by category, geography, and momentum
- Eventually supporting semi-automated radar workflows
These are future directions, not features that are currently live on the site.
What we expect to track (in concept)
A future version of MY Hot Radar may look at five broad categories of conversation, matching the section structure on this site:
- Malaysia — local happenings, communities, places, everyday life
- Viral — social trends, internet moments, public conversations
- Celebrity — entertainment and public-figure conversations
- Food & Lifestyle — dining, mall, brand, and lifestyle topics
- World — international stories that Malaysian audiences are watching
None of these categories are currently being tracked in real time. They are presented as the intended shape of a future radar.
What MY Hot Radar is not
- It is not a 24/7 live news monitoring service
- It does not automatically verify every story it surfaces
- It does not claim to cover all social platforms or all news outlets
- It does not currently have a user base, a subscriber list, or a commenting system
- It does not have a newsroom, journalists on staff, or an editorial team
Brand
MY = Malaysia. Hot = what is gaining attention right now. Radar = the idea of detecting signals before they become common knowledge.
The site is currently operated as a small independent project under the MY Hot Radar name. No company, publisher, or news organisation is currently behind it.
